This web site is designed to help students learn about physics.  Photographs of people and things in motion illustrate basic terminology and concepts.  While the site is designed for students in grades 5 through 8, it can be helpful to anyone of any age who is trying to get a better understanding of the physics in our everyday world.  The first section to appear on the site is called Moving.  It deals with many aspects of simple motion.  New sections will be added periodically.  The Swinging section will focus on oscillations and energy and the Spinning section will cover rotational motion.  The Flowing section will include floating and sinking as well as the flow of fluids such as water and air.  Special attention will be given to computer simulations of air and water flow.
